RPS is a peer consultation service offered by the American Academy of Family Physicians to help both new and established family medicine residency programs fulfill related Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education program requirements for residency training. Shepherded by an RPS Criteria for Excellence manual, which is constantly evolving and updated regularly, RPS consultants utilize various in-person and virtual consultation formats in response to the needs of their clients.
