Pandemic
strikes. The world
grinds to a halt.
Social
isolation: no problem.
Except
when I am
alone, I’m outnumbered.
Time at home becomes darkness
from drink.
On-line but
dis-connected.
Turn off their judging eyes.
They won’t smell it.
One was too many.
Ten was not enough.
At the bottom of the bottle,
any life within;
Distorted. No
immunity coming.
